Singapore Polytechnic (SP) has been engaging industry for more than 60 years. With more than 150,000 strong alumni, 900+ academic staff, PhD researchers, Technology Innovation Centres, Consultancy Centres and 15 000+ students across many disciplines, we are committed to have a value exchange with industry partners for mutual benefits. Strategically located at Dover, SP provide excellent connectivity to the Jurong Innovation District, Trade Association Hub, Biopolis, NUS, Launch Pad and many others.
SP can provide high quality students for internships at the facility with clear outcomes such as developing solutions, proof of concepts or assisting in a market survey or study. SP students have done well in joint projects with industry partners and they are highly sought after.

Co-locate within School of Chemical & Life Sciences (CLS)
The School of Chemical & Life Sciences (CLS) at Singapore Polytechnic has been training technologists, assistant engineers and optometrists for more than half a century. With a team of over 150 qualified and experienced academic and technical support staff, CLS offers 6 full-time diplomas, 3 advanced diplomas, 4 specialist diplomas and 2 part-time diplomas to a student intake of about 650 new students per year.
Additionally, CLS has excellent academic & industry links both locally and regionally. Course curricula are always kept up-to-date based on feedback from the industries, universities and past graduates. Many of our staff also serve in external professional committees and their technical expertise is typically deployed in consultancy or applied R&D work. We are also appointed by the Ministry of Education to be the sector coordinator for Food Manufacturing and Energy & Chemicals industries in Singapore. Last but not least, we are supported by 3 technology centres to keep our staff/students abreast with technological advancements at the Food Innovation Resource Centre (FIRC), Advanced Materials Technology Centre (AMTC) and Consumer Care Technology Centre (CCTC).
To create a vibrant and relevant learning environment for our students, we constantly engage industry partners closely in collaborative projects and invite industry partners to co-locate in our campus to augment real world learning for our learners. We strive for synergetic and strategic collaboration between academia and industry in curriculum design, delivery, teaching, learning, training, research and in other areas as well. We believe the value exchange through such partnership will be mutually beneficial to both SP and the industry.
With the food security issues being accentuated by COVID-19, CLS has a vision to expand our current ecosystem and purpose-build additional facilities to house strategic partners that share the same vision as us. We wish to grow our know-how and capabilities in novel foods, provide a one-stop solutions to new foodtech start-ups and establish close relationships with various stakeholders in this space through collaborative projects.
